USDA Foresees Fuel Demand Boosting Grain Prices

Law360, New York (February 25, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- Energy prices will climb, as will the demand for fuels from renewable sources, boosting grain prices, according to speakers at the U.S. Department of Agriculture's annual Agricultural Outlook Forum, held last week in Arlington, Va.

Speakers at the two-day convention addressed an array of subjects, but emphasized the expected steep energy prices, the demand for renewable fuels and the effect on prices for U.S. grains.
