Ex-Pittsburgh Police Chief Cops To Misappropriating Funds

Law360, Philadelphia (October 18, 2013, 5:09 PM ET) -- Nate Harper, the former chief of police of the city of Pittsburgh, Pa., pled guilty on Friday to federal charges that he misappropriated funds and did not file federal income tax returns.

Harper, who resigned from his post in February in the midst of a federal investigation, copped to allegations that he did not file federal tax returns for four years and took nearly $32,000 from an account established to repay the city for off-duty police work at special events.
