Supreme Court Takes On Mortgage Fraud Restitution Case

Law360, New York (October 21, 2013, 4:57 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday agreed to take on an appeal brought by a straw buyer in a mortgage fraud scheme challenging a district court’s interpretation of the scope of restitution under the Mandatory Victims Restitution Act, stepping in to review a question of law that has divided the circuits.

According to its order list, the high court granted certiorari to Benjamin Robers v. The United States, providing no comment about its decision.
