Pa. Nuke Facilities Operators Sued Over Hazardous Releases

Law360, New York (October 22, 2013, 3:07 PM EDT) -- Babcock & Wilcox Power Generation Group Inc. and other operators of two nuclear processing facilities in Pennsylvania were sued Monday by more than a dozen plaintiffs who claim that they were harmed by the release of hazardous and radioactive substances.

The plaintiffs are comprised of 15 people who currently or formerly resided in Apollo, Pa., near two nuclear processing facilities — one in Apollo and the other in neighboring Parks Township — run by Babcock, Atlantic Richfield Co. and B&W Technical Services Inc.
