Detroit Retirees Say City Illegally Cut Health Benefits

Law360, New York (October 22, 2013, 6:19 PM ET) -- A committee of retired workers on Tuesday sued the city of Detroit in Michigan bankruptcy court, asking a federal judge to block the city's 2014 retiree health care plan, which the committee alleges violates the Michigan and United States constitutions by breaching the city's contracts with its retirees.
