IK Investment Closes $1.9B Energy-Focused European Fund

Law360, New York (October 23, 2013, 12:05 PM EDT) -- Scandinavian private equity firm IK Investment Partners closed its seventh fund at €1.4 billion ($1.9 billion) and started investing in the energy sector, the company announced Wednesday.

Investors in the fund intersect continental boundaries and include MetLife Investments Ltd., the Minnesota State Board of Investment and Alberta Teachers Retirement Fund. The firm plans to invest throughout German-speaking Europe, the Nordic countries and Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg.
