Sullivan & Cromwell Escapes Atty's Bias Suit

Law360, New York (October 23, 2013, 1:31 PM ET) -- Sullivan & Cromwell LLP won't have to face allegations it discriminated against a contract attorney helping the law firm with document review, after the attorney didn't show up for a hearing in New York state court Wednesday.

In a bench ruling, Justice Louis B. York dismissed Kalyn Stephens' complaint after she didn't appear at the hearing over requests by Sullivan & Cromwell and other defendants that she either pare her complaint down or have it dismissed.
