Pa. Senate Clears Bill Letting Bars Profit From Gambling

Law360, New York (October 23, 2013, 6:27 PM EDT) -- Pennsylvania state senators on Wednesday passed legislation that would allow bars to profit from gambling activities, known as small games of chance, expanding legal gambling in the state.

The state Senate passed House Bill 1098 in a 39-11 vote and House Bill 290 in a 45-5 vote, clearing the way for the House of Representatives to take up the measures aiming to expand legalized gambling in Pennsylvania.
