Infringement Suit V. Automakers Hits A Roadblock

Law360, New York (February 26, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- A patent holding company's lawsuit against DaimlerChrysler Corp. and Mercedes-Benz USA Inc. has stalled, with a federal judge, ruling on a bevy of different motions in complicated litigation, throwing out the plaintiff's infringement claims.

Judge Barbara B. Crabb of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin issued her 73-page ruling Monday, tossing plaintiff Taurus IP LLC's infringement charges regarding its computerized vendor technology and granting summary judgment to DaimlerChrysler and Mercedes-Benz.
