USANA Flouted 'Live Person' Software License, Suit Says

Law360, Los Angeles (October 24, 2013, 3:54 PM EDT) -- Technology company Live Face on Web LLC on Thursday sued USANA Health Sciences Inc. in Pennsylvania federal court for allegedly violating their licensing agreement by creating unauthorized derivatives of Live Face's software for a virtual online spokesperson.

Southampton, Pa.-based Live Face claims USANA licensed a single software package displaying a virtual marketing and sales presentation with the intent of exploiting the technology to create multiple unauthorized versions of the program.
