Jury Awards $173M To ParkerVision In IP Row With Qualcomm

Law360, Los Angeles (October 24, 2013, 4:24 PM EDT) -- A Florida federal jury on Thursday awarded $173 million in damages to ParkerVision Inc. in its circuit patent dispute with Qualcomm Inc., although it also found the wireless technology company didn't willfully infringe the patents, both parties said.

The award fell short of the $500 million sought by ParkerVision, which claimed the award should have been enhanced due to Qualcomm's alleged willful infringement.
