2 Australian LNG Projects Join Forces In Gas Swap Deal

Law360, Los Angeles (October 25, 2013, 4:15 PM EDT) -- Two Australian liquefied natural gas projects signed an upstream cooperation deal on Friday, including gas swap and infrastructure connection agreements that will allow both parties to realize capital and operational efficiencies, Australia Pacific LNG Pty Ltd. and Santos GLNG announced in a joint statement.

The agreements will make gas transportation more efficient between the two projects’ Surat Basin gas fields in Queensland and reduce the need for additional pipeline infrastructure, according to the companies.
