EU Touts Progress After Latest Trade Talks With Japan

Law360, New York (October 25, 2013, 2:55 PM EDT) -- The European Union said Friday it had made progress in negotiations with Japan for a potential free trade agreement that could cover a range of areas, including investment and issues affecting trade of goods and services between the two economies.

Following several days of trade talks in Brussels, Belgium, the European Commission announced that its negotiators and their Japanese counterparts had continued to move toward what the EU has described as an “ambitious” free trade agreement.
