WTO Chief Says Finish Line Near On Bali Trade Pact

Law360, New York (October 25, 2013, 4:42 PM ET) -- The director general of the World Trade Organization told the WTO's Trade Negotiations Committee on Friday that the finish line for an agreement on a package of concessions to facilitate trade among member countries was "clear and in sight.”

Director-General Roberto Azevedo said progress had accelerated within the past few days on the talks to hammer out a deal designed to streamline customs and other red tape affecting cross-border trade, which would be considered during an upcoming WTO ministerial conference in Bali, Indonesia.
