Law360, New York (October 28, 2013, 12:38 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Supreme Court has agreed to hear six cases related to the regulation of greenhouse gases from stationary sources. The Supreme Court granted certiorari on the narrow issue of whether the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency permissibly determined that its regulation of the emission of greenhouse gases from new motor vehicles triggered permitting requirements under the Clean Air Act for stationary sources that emit greenhouse gases. In other words, when the EPA promulgated vehicle emission standards for greenhouse gases in 2010, did this automatically trigger the EPA's regulation of stationary source greenhouse gas emissions?...
