Insurer Says Ex-Employees Took Trade Secrets To Rival

Law360, New York (October 25, 2013, 9:33 PM ET) -- Retail insurance agency Regions Insurance Inc. sued Alliant Insurance Services Inc. for trade secrets theft in Mississippi federal court on Friday, alleging that four workers, including two highly paid employees, conspired to leave Regions and take customers to Alliant, its direct competitor.

Regions, a subsidiary of Regions Financial Corp., alleges that former high-level employees William L. Painter and John A. Chalk Jr. and associates Angie M. Strickland and Jamie L. White conspired to divert business away from Regions with Alliant's help.
