ACA Enrollment 'Very Small' So Far, Sebelius Says

Law360, New York (October 30, 2013, 2:42 PM ET) -- U.S. Health Secretary Kathleen Sebelius on Wednesday disclosed that the Obama administration doesn’t know how many people have found coverage through online insurance exchanges and suspects the number is "very small," a revelation that underscored the severity of technical challenges surrounding the Affordable Care Act’s debut.

In eagerly anticipated testimony on Capitol Hill, Sebelius for the first time explained that the reason the release of enrollment figures has been delayed until mid-November is because accurate statistics don’t exist.
