Urban Outfitters Targets Hanover For Privacy Row Coverage

Law360, New York (October 28, 2013, 7:55 PM EDT) -- Retailers Urban Outfitters Inc. and Anthropologie Inc. on Friday argued that the Hanover Insurance Group Inc. should cover their legal defense in underlying class actions accusing them of improperly recording customers’ private information during credit card transactions, after OneBeacon America Insurance Co. refused to indemnify them.

In a third-party complaint filed in Pennsylvania federal court, the retailers argued that Hanover issued a number of commercial general liability policies that should cover them in the underlying suits, which accuse the retailers of improperly collecting customers’ ZIP codes...
