Societe Generale Accuses Ex-Strategist Of Stealing Secrets

Law360, New York (October 29, 2013, 8:46 PM EDT) -- Societe Generale SA sued a former commodities strategist and his wife in New York state court Monday seeking to stop disclosure of trade secrets after the strategist allegedly emailed confidential and proprietary information to his wife in the months leading up to him telling the company he was taking a job with Morgan Stanley.
Societe Generale's complaint alleged Jeremy Friesen, who worked on its commodities research team, emailed confidential information to his wife regarding a commodity index product in addition to two proprietary quantitative models. ...
