NSA Secretly Taps Google, Yahoo Data Centers, Report Says

Law360, New York (October 30, 2013, 4:16 PM ET) -- The National Security Agency has methods of tapping into Google Inc. and Yahoo Inc. global data centers that are more secretive than the controversial PRISM program exposed in June, according to Wednesday news reports.

New documents leaked by former NSA contractor Edward Snowden reveal that the agency tapped into communication lines that connect such data centers, in order to gain access to data from millions of users worldwide, according to the Washington Post's report citing Snowden’s documents and unnamed officials.
