Manufacturers Push For Senate Movement On Trade Bill

Law360, New York (October 30, 2013, 7:40 PM EDT) -- The U.S. manufacturing sector on Wednesday called on Senate leaders to take action on a bill that, the manufacturers say, would improve customs procedures and strengthen enforcement of intellectual property protections.

The National Association of Manufacturers sent a letter to leaders of the Senate Finance Committee, urging them to move forward legislation intended to modernize U.S. Customs and Border Protection and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, two agencies that oversee shipments moving across U.S. borders.
