Insurer Brings $3M Medpace Coverage Suit To Fed. Court

Law360, New York (October 30, 2013, 7:51 PM ET) -- Darwin Select Insurance Co. on Wednesday took to Ohio federal court a lawsuit in which drug and medical device developer Medpace Inc. seeks coverage for a $3 million counterclaim in a legal battle over the rights to information created following clinical trials.

The insurance dispute concerns a counterclaim brought by Biothera Inc., which claims that it owned data that Medpace created following clinical trials and research, according to Medpace's Oct. 2 complaint in Ohio's Hamilton County court.
