Keep Punitive Award Ban In NYC Asbestos Suits, Court Told

Law360, New York (November 1, 2013, 6:51 PM EDT) -- Industry and tort reform groups urged a state court on Thursday to continue to bar plaintiffs in the long-running New York City asbestos litigation from pursuing punitive damages, arguing that a reversal would hurt settlement talks and rob future plaintiffs of recoveries.
