6th Circ. Backs Chesapeake In Ohio Gas Lease Fight

Law360, New York (November 01, 2013, 3:40 PM ET) -- The Sixth Circuit on Wednesday sided with Chesapeake Exploration LLC in a dispute with Ohio landowners, saying a lower court correctly determined that landowners have no right to terminate Chesapeake's oil and gas leases if the company refuses to match third-party offers to lease the land.
