Tomato Extract Maker Drops IP Suit Against Competitor

Law360, New York (November 4, 2013, 7:24 PM EST) -- Nutrition products company Lycored has settled a suit alleging India-based E.I.D. Parry Ltd. and two subsidiaries were infringing the patents of its tomato lycopene extract Lyc-O-Mato, Lycored announced Monday.

Israel-based Lycored, which develops dietary supplements, food coloring ingredients and flavor enhancement formulations, alleged in a complaint filed in New Jersey federal court in May that the companies were infringing U.S. Patent Numbers 5,837,311; 5,965,183; and 6,515,018 with a similar product.
