Samsung, Nokia Extend Patent License For 5 Years

Law360, Washington (November 4, 2013, 4:41 PM EST) -- Nokia Corp. said on Monday that it has extended a patent license agreement with Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. for an additional five years, but hasn’t settled the financial terms of the deal.

The Finnish company declined to elaborate on the patents at the center of the agreement, which was scheduled to expire at the end of 2013, but noted the companies would enter binding arbitration to determine how much Samsung will pay for the extended rights.
