EDF Renewable Energy Nabs 3rd Texas Wind Farm

Law360, New York (November 4, 2013, 6:43 PM EST) -- A U.S. affiliate of French electricity company EDF Energies Nouvelles has purchased a 200-megawatt wind farm development in Texas, its third in the state, as it looks to capitalize on federal tax credits and new transmission capacity, it said Monday.

The Longhorn Wind Project encompasses 14,000 acres of land that span Floyd and Briscoe counties and will be developed to take advantage of the Competitive Renewable Energy Zone transmission lines in an effort to help meet the high electricity demand in certain areas of the state,...
