Merscorp, BofA Escape Texas Counties' Fraud Claims

Law360, Dallas (November 04, 2013, 7:49 PM ET) -- A Texas federal judge on Monday axed claims Merscorp Holdings Inc. and Bank of America Corp. defrauded Texas counties in their mortgage registration practices, finding no conspiracy that their electronic registration system usurps the county clerk’s role in tracking property ownership interests.
