HTC Tells ITC It Wants New Judge In Nokia Patent Row

Law360, Washington (November 5, 2013, 5:02 PM EST) -- HTC Corp. on Tuesday asked the U.S. International Trade Commission to reverse an administrative law judge's determination that several models of HTC Corp.'s smartphones infringe two patents held by Nokia Corp, saying the decision was “infected with clear error" and should be remanded to a different judge. 

In filings submitted publicly on Tuesday and dated Oct. 23, HTC said ALJ Thomas Pender abused his discretion in denying HTC’s submission of expert testimony in the case and wrongly ruled that HTC had waived arguments in the investigation....
