McKesson Inks $14M Deal In Wis. Drug Price-Rigging Suit

Law360, New York (November 6, 2013, 6:14 PM EST) -- McKesson Corp. will fork over nearly $14 million to settle allegations it fleeced Wisconsin's Medicaid program by artificially inflating prices for prescription medications, resulting in fatter profits for pharmacy customers that rewarded it with more business, the state's attorney general said Tuesday.

The deal joins a long list of settlements, including a $37 million agreement with Virginia last month, that McKesson has inked over alleged rigging of average wholesale prices, which are used by state Medicaid offices to calculate reimbursements.
