Goodwin Procter Lures IP Atty Who Was Once NASA Engineer

Law360, New York (November 8, 2013, 3:50 PM EST) -- A NASA software engineer turned lawyer who was most recently a partner at Fish & Richardson PC's Silicon Valley office has joined Goodwin Procter LLP's patent prosecution and counseling practice, the firm has said.

Daniel Burns, who was at one point an engineer at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory working on the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence program, took up a partner position at Goodwin after roughly eight years with all-intellectual-property firm Fish, he told Law360 on Friday.
