PSEG Unit Gets Whistleblower's Retaliation Award Nixed

Law360, New York (November 05, 2013, 6:40 PM ET) -- A New Jersey federal judge has vacated a jury's $400,000 award to a contractor's employee who accused a Public Service Enterprise Group Inc. unit of firing him for whistleblowing, saying the jury relied on improperly admitted evidence.

The jury returned in June a $400,000 verdict in favor of Robert Scull, finding that he was terminated after a 20-year career with Wackenhut Corp. for complaining about staffing practices that allegedly violated U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission regulations.
