Samsung Asks Fed. Circ. To Revive Part Of Apple ITC Case

Law360, Washington (November 6, 2013, 2:41 PM EST) -- Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. asked the Federal Circuit last week to revive part of its U.S. International Trade Commission suit alleging Apple Inc.'s iPad and iPhone infringe one of its patents, three months after President Barack Obama vetoed an import ban of allegedly infringing products.

Samsung asked the appeals court on Oct. 31 to reverse an ITC decision that Apple did not infringe one of its standard-essential patents, U.S. Patent Number 7,486,644, saying the commission based its decision on unsupported findings.
