Sidley Says Vegas Project Suit Threatens All Lawyers

Law360, New York (November 8, 2013, 4:12 PM EST) -- Allowing investors in a $1 billion Las Vegas retail complex to sue Sidley Austin LLP and another firm that who represented the project's co-developers would open a floodgate of litigation over routine arguments attorneys make in court, the law firms told a New York state judge Friday.

Investors Shawn Samson and Jack Kashani have accused Sidley Austin and Berger & Webb LLP,  which represented brothers Nigel and Mousa Alliance, of serially deceiving New York judges in litigation between the erstwhile partners over the project.
