Obama Picks DOE Official For Top White House Climate Post

Law360, New York (November 08, 2013, 7:23 PM ET) -- President Barack Obama selected a new energy and climate change adviser Friday to replace the influential Heather Zichal, tapping U.S. Department of Energy official Dan Utech to help guide the administration's efforts to address global warming, according to a White House official.

Utech landed the position after spending three years at the DOE as a senior adviser. He has been a critical part of developing and implementing “every aspect of the president's clean energy and climate agenda,” the official told Law360 on Friday.
