Wash. State Lawmakers Advance $8.7B Boeing Tax Break Bill

Law360, Washington (November 08, 2013, 8:49 PM ET) -- Washington state's House Finance Committee on Friday approved legislation extending $8.7 billion in tax breaks to the Boeing Co., part of a slew of legislative incentives to be considered over the next week designed to keep manufacturing of the next-generation 777X airliner in the state.

The bill, H.B. 2089, was approved in a 10-3 vote, moving it on to the state’s House Appropriations Committee for further consideration late Friday afternoon alongside an aerospace workforce training bill, its final hurdle before a House floor vote.
