Couple Cops Guilty Plea Over Defense Contractor Scheme

Law360, New York (November 13, 2013, 8:03 PM EST) -- A former employee of a U.S. Department of Defense contractor supporting the Afghan National Army pled guilty Tuesday in a Virginia federal court to charges that he participated in a scheme to fraudulently secure $9.7 million worth of purchase orders.

Keith Johnson and his wife Angela Johnson pled guilty to conspiracy to commit wire fraud in the Eastern District of Virginia, after they allegedly worked together to secure purchase orders from Keith Johnson's defense contractor employer for vehicle parts supplied by the couple’s own separate company.
