Sen. Introduces Bill To Boost Online Video Companies

Law360, Los Angeles (November 13, 2013, 4:37 PM ET) -- Sen. Jay Rockefeller, D-W.Va., on Tuesday introduced a bill designed to boost online video distributors by preventing anti-competitive conduct against such services by traditional television companies and Internet service providers.

Rockefeller, chairman of the Senate Commerce Committee, said in a statement Tuesday that he hopes the Consumer Choice in Online Video Act will bolster consumer options for video viewing and ultimately lead to a marketplace in which consumers can pay only for content they want to watch.
