Army Sued Over Guantanamo Bay Teaching Contract Decision

Law360, New York (November 14, 2013, 7:44 PM EST) -- Defense contractor Torres Advanced Enterprise Solutions LLC sued the U.S. Army in the U.S. Court of Federal Claims on Tuesday after it was passed over for a contract to teach Guantanamo Bay detainees.

Earlier this month, the Army awarded a contract to provide teaching and library services at Guantanamo Bay to Global Dimensions LLC for $5.9 million over a bid from Torres, which is the incumbent contractor for the services.
