Under Armour Puts Up $150M For Fitness Tracking App

Law360, New York (November 14, 2013, 12:42 PM EST) -- Under Armour Inc. will pick up Texas-based fitness technology company MapMyFitness Inc. for $150 million in a move to digitally integrate the sports apparel company into athletes' everyday training, according to a Thursday statement.

Under the terms of the deal, MapMyFitness, which offers its digital fitness community GPS-enabled training apps like MapMyRun, will continue to operate out of its Texas headquarters as a wholly owned subsidiary of Under Armour, according to the companies.
