DOD Backs Off Funding Request For Russian Helicopters

Law360, New York (November 14, 2013, 4:18 PM EST) -- The U.S. Department of Defense has canceled a request for funds to purchase more helicopters from Rosoboronexport, the Russia-owned arms dealer that has supplied the Mi-17 helicopters that are the backbone of Afghanistan's fledgling air force, after a long fight with Congress.
