Law360, New York (November 22, 2013, 9:48 AM EST) -- Last month, I wrote about the trial balloon touted by some academics, as well as the President of the United States, that law school be reduced from three years to two along with reduced requirements for time spent learning the law before a student can sit for the bar exam. Although it was not said, with less education fewer subjects will be covered on the exam. The motivation behind the proposal was to reduce the costs of legal education in reaction to high tuition costs, large debt burdens and a punishing job market that makes paying back loans difficult.
