Foreign Airline Have Unfair Tax Edge, Pilots Union Says

Law360, New York (November 18, 2013, 3:25 PM ET) -- Foreign, state-owned airlines will pay virtually no taxes on the $162.6 billion worth of new aircraft they ordered on Sunday, evidence that the U.S.' private airlines face an unfair market, a pilots union said.

Airlines Emirates, Etihad Airways, Qatar Airways and Flydubai purchased 113 wide-body aircraft from Airbus SAS and 255 from The Boeing Co. during the first day of the Dubai Airshow, according to the Air Line Pilots Association.

But those companies do not pay many taxes because they are owned by their respective host...
