New Jersey Regulation And Legislation To Watch In 2014

Law360, New York (January 01, 2014, 10:08 AM ET) -- With New Jersey’s 8.4 percent unemployment rate among the highest in the nation, legislation aimed at making the state more attractive to corporate suitors, such as widespread tax breaks, will get the most focus when the Legislature reconvenes in 2014, attorneys said.

But there is also legislation in the pipeline that could hamper New Jersey’s corporate appeal — including worker-friendly bills that would affect hiring policies and labor costs — potentially setting the stage for fierce legislative battles, experts said.
