Nurse Says NJ Appeals Court Misread Whistleblower Law

Law360, New York (November 18, 2013, 10:10 PM EST) -- The New Jersey Supreme Court was asked on Monday to revive a nurse’s claim that he was wrongfully terminated for publicizing code violations, arguing that an appellate panel erred in its application of the state's whistleblower laws.

Paul Castronovo of Castronovo & McKinney LLC urged the state's high court to revive claim filed by James Hitesman, who sued Bridgeway Care Center under the state’s Conscientious Employee Protection Act, alleging wrongfully termination for his publicizing improper patient care at the facility.
