Law360, New York (January 1, 2014, 10:08 AM EST) -- Despite the potential for election-year politics to stall progress, lawyers in Pennsylvania will be paying close attention in 2014 to the state Legislature's efforts to reform the judiciary, solve the state's pension shortfall, privatize liquor sales and the lottery, and clarify policy on natural gas drilling.

The common wisdom is that election years are dead zones for policy changes in Pennsylvania, and Gov. Tom Corbett is up for re-election in November, along with the entire House and half of the Senate.
