Conn. Exceeds $175M In Record Tax Amnesty Collection

Law360, New York (November 19, 2013, 1:20 PM EST) -- Connecticut's latest tax amnesty program has collected more than $175 million from taxpayers, more than five times what the state expected, notching the most successful tax amnesty program in Connecticut history, the state said Monday. 

The largest payment Connecticut received during the two-month program exceeded $20 million and the oldest tax debt collected dated back to 1988, state Department of Revenue Services Commissioner Kevin B. Sullivan said at a Monday conference.
