Indian Industry Groups Form IPR Taskforce

Law360, New York (October 13, 2003, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Indian industry groups from the software, music, film and pharmaceutical sectors have come together to establish a National Intellectual Property Rights Taskforce, the Financial Express reported on Monday.

The taskforce, which aims to fight piracy and counterfeiting, will seek to educate the police about intellectual property rights, conduct public awareness campaigns, organize seminars and conferences, and recommend legal and judicial reforms to the government.
