Law360, New York (November 27, 2013, 5:55 PM ET) -- The flagship federal website HealthCare.gov has reportedly been subject to 16 potential website breaches, including multiple “denial of service” attacks designed to overwhelm the website with meaningless website traffic and cause loss of functionality. However, HealthCare.gov is only one piece of the website and data network designed to facilitate health plan enrollment for millions of Americans under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. And, as it turns out, the state-level exchanges may be of greater concern.
