Orbitz Settles Hotel Tax Row With Md. County

Law360, New York (November 20, 2013, 2:47 PM EST) -- Montgomery County, Md., on Monday became the latest Maryland municipality to dismiss Orbitz LLC from litigation alleging it and other online travel companies failed to fully pay hotel occupancy taxes, after reaching a confidential settlement. 

U.S. District Judge Marvin J. Garbis dismissed Orbitz from Montgomery County's suit with prejudice, and the dismissal bars any claims that Montgomery County might have for conduct occurring through June 30, 2014.
